I've always loved how this page came together. I think I was reading a lot of Frank Miller Sin City stuff while doing this... Not saying that this page is comparable to any of Frank's stuff but it definitely was one of the highlights of Vol. 3. Check here for the previous page...

Overall... Having Erica do this little cameo in the book was fun. Even though she wasn't a major player in this volume compared to the previous ones, she still had a significant impact to Molly's world.

Circa 2002 back when I used to draw significantly larger than the size of the published product. This panel, for instance, is roughly 8.5" x 11" and is just the first panel of a six panel page!

Here's a peek @ Peanut Butter Vol.2

Since I'm putting up a piece for sale on ebay I thought I'd put up some of the pages that relate to that piece. The pics that you see here are from the B&W Peanut Butter Vol. 2. It's from the last chapter of the book "Dear, Erica..." and it features Molly saying goodbye to Erica, Sean & New York. 

 I have to admit that although some of the work makes me cringe overall it still stands the test of time. One thing that has always bothered me was the cover. Never was quite satisfied with it. Even the new cover for the color version is still not satisfactory in my view. Then again, I've had fans come and tell me how much they love it! Still, I definitely want to look into doing a new version for the next printing... Maybe I can have a contest of some sort and have you fans tell me which one you want for a cove!

Schoolgirl Having Fun — Peanut Butter Vol. 5 page 10

I really liked how this sequence turned out even though Molly's figure seemed a little off. Maybe I was trying to make her look too much like a schoolgirl. Then again part of the purpose of this sequence is that Molly dreams about the times she used to spend with Erica and Sean back when she was in high school (check Peanut Butter Vol. 1).

Threesome! — Peanut Butter Vol. 5 - pg 9 panel 3

Continued from yesterday... This one seems solid overall. You can't see all of the action but, more than enough is seen to understand what's going on. Still not overly satisfied with what Erica's doing. Originally for this panel and the previous two (see yesterday and the day before) I was going to have just Sean and Molly going at it while Erica masturbates while watching but, I thought it would make more sense that Erica would want to be more involved. Especially since Sean (as in Sean Arthur Williams) is Erica's boyfriend...

Continued from yesterday... Sean Arthur Williams is still trying to "be one" with Molly but, even in a dream she is still a "tight" fit... What can a man do but keep trying until he reaches Nirvana.  This dream sequence in "Peanut Butter Vol. 5" is actually continued from Vol. 4. Thanks to Christian Zanier for the advice on the borders to the panels. I'm still working on it but, I have to agree, it does have a nice dreamy quality. What do you think!
