Teaser: “You don’t know as much about me as you think you do, little girl.” He tugged me by the wrist again, up a couple of stairs and into the shadowy front porch. “You stare at me with those big brown eyes, yearning, yearning, yearning. You want to live, Mary.” He pushed me up against the wall, the gray stone cold against my back. His hands were moving all over me, his mouth moving over my throat. “You want to live. You want me to teach you how to live. You want me to teach you how to feel.”
